Executive Coaching Approach

In today's fast-pace environment, executives and managers are required to make rapid, yet well reasoned, decisions. Like a well-trained athlete, a high performing executive can also benefit from a dedicated coach to help him or her move up the learning curve as quickly and effectively as possible.

The specific techniques employed in the coaching process depend on the needs, personality and learning styles of the individual being coached. Engagements typically begin by creating a clear understanding of the organizational and individual business objectives, as well as performing an assessment to determine an individual's key strengths and areas for improvement. During the coaching process, individuals not only work on their developmental gaps, but also identify ways to leverage their strengths to create additional opportunities for the organization and their career.

Once developmental and leverage areas are identified and agreed upon, Carol engages the individual in creating real-time, practical results. To achieve the desired outcomes as quickly as possible, she works with her coaching clients to identify actual situations that will enable the individual to develop a particular skill, while achieving business results

Outcomes: The coaching process is designed to help talented leaders maximize their own performance as well as achieve the goals of the organization. To that end, measurable outcomes for the coaching process will be connected to the organization's business goals, wherever possible. The coaching process will include the development of an action plan, complete with milestones and timelines. These goals should be agreed upon by the individual being coached, his or her manager and the coach. The time frame, frequency of meetings and payment terms will also be agreed upon by the person being coached, the representative of the client organization and the coach.

Confidentiality: Specific provisions for the confidentiality will be made at the beginning of the coaching process. Clarity will be reached about who knows about the relationship, what explanation will be given for the coach's presence, who has access to any data gathered by the coach, and the level of communication between the coach and the executive's manager and with any other representative of the client organization.
